Job description :
- Responsible for performing and overseeing all aspects of coating activities for conformity to project specific requirements in accordance with company standards.
Undertake the assurance and verification of project’s specific coating activities are performed on time and within budget in accordance with project requirements.
Candidates will ideally have a proven coating and/or structural/pipes/vessels experience and will be comfortable working in a high pressure, fast-paced and challenging environment.
Interface between the project engineer/manager, engineering and coating personnel todiscuss and resolve matters such as work procedures, defect rectification and coating issues. - Report to Project Engineer/Manager and Superintendent.
Tasks/Activities:
- Identify, develop and qualify coating systems for plant structures, concrete, pipes, vessels and appurtenances.

- Assess feasibility of coating methods in order to develop most productive and cost-effective field coating methods.

Background :
During the period of the Total Plant Shutdown (TPSD) – approximately 1st to 25th November 2022, the TPSD Area Lifting Supervisors are required to work on a rotating 4/4/4 shift basis during the TPSD, controlling, supervising & ensuring on-time, safe practices are undertaken at all times for all Lifting & Rigging Operations in their specified area.
The TPSD is a time-critical operation, delays caused for any reason are not acceptable, therefore Supervisionof all activities must be absolutely first class in every area.
Objectives :
- They will be responsible for all crane R & L activities, and all HME (Heavy Mechanical Equipment) within their specified area, ensuring all work is carried out to a strict schedule, while in strict compliance with approved site safety operating procedures, practices and standards.

Position summary :
To coordinate multidiscipline engineering services internally within the Engineering Department (Process, Civil,Structural, Piping, Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation & Control, Drafting and Document Control), as well as with other Ambatovy Departments (Project Execution, Project Controls, Operations, Maintenance, Supply Chain Management, HSE, Quality, Asset Integrity, Asset Reliability, QA/QC) and necessary consultants, specialist service companies, OEM’s, vendors and contractors associated with the Ore Slurry Pipeline Project and for the ancillary projects related to the Ore Slurry Pipeline Project.
The PRINCIPAL ENGINEER (PE) is the accountable business partner of a named production area to identify, with other stakeholders, the engineering solutions and modifications necessary to optimize operations in that area. The other main stakeholders include operations, asset integrity, projects execution, maintenance and reliability teams. The requirements of a project or work request, once identified and delineated in the formal request (“one-pager”) require the Principal Engineer to then form a team of engineers within the various disciplines, assisted by the Technical Authorities (TA)/ Head Discipline Engineers, in order to provide a fully engineered, safe, timely and cost-effective solution with all necessary drawings, calculations and procedures.

Project Execution Department is managing capital investment and OPEX projects. This requires project engineers who can work stand-alone, in agroup or inside a programme, under Superintendent’s direction and coaching. He/She is responsible to drive each project, related to Electricity and Instrumentation, with a clear-defined strategy and in the meantime as interface to all stakeholders (client, contractors, managment, other departments).
He/She is also assisting Senior Project Engineer on a larger and more complex capital projects in deliveing the project during the Execution Phase

- He/She is responsible to drive each project with a clear-defined strategy and in the meantime as interface to all stakeholders (client, contractors, managment, other departments)
- He/ She is main accountable person for the project and all matter(s) related to.
- He/She represents Project Execution for the project xhixh is assigned to him/her in front of client, contractors, other departments.
- He/She has the authority to manage the project and to request a Project Change in case of scope change, issues on execution or anything project completion
Requirements for references (Qualifications/ Technical Skills/ Experience) :
- A civil engineering degree ( Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree) or equivalent from a recognized University
- Complementary training in managment or project managment (PMP, PRICE2P) would be a string asset
- Strong leadership with a capability to manage and deliver a project
- A minimum of 6 years experience as project manager
- Experience in project management including reporting, quality control, budgets and cost control, admininstration
- Fluency in Englishbis is a strong asset
- Fluency in French will be a plus
- Successful position in a project groups will be an asset
- Strong oral and written communication skills
- Strong technical knowledge related engineering
- Previous experience in Project/Construction , Engineering/ Management in heavy/industry/mining/ oil & gas

Scope of works :
- Coordinate contractors during execution works by monitorring and co,trolling their performance
- Coordinate and supervise multiple works areas during the course of a day
- Identify shortcomings and employ work experience to devise potential solutions during project execution
- Assist Project Engineers in day to day Project delivery activities
- Prepare documents, reports and construction communications as required
- Work with field teams and assist wiyh design and construction team members as required to meet operational deliverables
- Perform equipment material, and routine site inspections
- Coordinate with other stakeholders during execution to ensure all equipment and material required to complete the works are available
- Develop and maintain a thorought knowledge of all construction methods and material requirements
- Assist resolution of site-based design and construction issues efficiently as they arise
- Undertake site supervision as required
- Maintain healthy and safe work environment by enforcing procedures and standars and complying with legal regulations during execution
Requirements for referneces, experiences (Qualifications/ Technical Skills/ Experience):
- Ability to travel
- Mobility,fitness and ability to work effictively in a multi-disciplined team ( office and in a remote area environment)
- Well organized and structural approach
- A minimum of 10 years of constructruction coordination/ supervision of contractors/sub-contractors experience in civil/ eathworks projects
- Good understanding of construction operations and processes
- Experience in operations in developing countries is an asset
- Backgrounf in managment of change and risk assessment
- Good construction supervision/ coordination experinece
- A good backgroung in the supervision of technical personnel and construction drawings
- Proeficiency in MS Office
- Ability to use MS Project
- Flency in English is required
- Fluency in French is an asser
- Good relationship building and managment skills
